We understand that the sudden incapacity of a loved one can be an emotional, overwhelming, and challenging time for family and friends. On top of that, decisions must be made to ensure the healthcare and/or financial needs of the individual are satisfied. If the individual does not have a Healthcare or Financial Power of Attorney in place these powers must be granted by the Court.


A Guardian of the Person is required so that healthcare decisions in the best interests of the individual can be made. A Guardian of the Estate is required so that financial decisions in the best interests of the individual can be made. These powers may be granted on a temporary and/or permanent basis by the Court.
