The History of our Firm
George A. Affeldt was a 1909 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin in 1909. He founded the firm in downtown Milwaukee in 1909 where he practiced until his death in 1952. He had a true general practice and handled all matters from complicated trials to drafting Wills and Contracts and everything in between. He was the Milwaukee Bar Association President in 1931. He argued 47 cases in the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He was the President of the State Board of Bar Commissioners at the time of his death, as well as a Court Commissioner from 1941 until the time of his death.
George R. Affeldt was a 1948 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School; admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin in 1948 and joined his father’s firm in 1948. He served as the Milwaukee Bar Association President in 1969. While attending the University, he was a member of the University of Wisconsin-Madison 1941 NCAA Basketball Championship Team. He served as the 1977-78 president of the Wisconsin Alumni Association, a director of the UW Foundation, a representative on the UW Athletic Board, and a member of its Bascom Hill Society. In 1986 he directed the firms move from its downtown Milwaukee location to its present office in West Allis, where he practiced until his death in 2001.

Steven is a 1983 graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law; admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin in 1983.
Steven concentrates his practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Elder Law, Trust Administration, Probate, and Real Estate.

John A. Affeldt
John is a 1985 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School; admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin in 1985.
John concentrates his practice in the areas of Guardianship, Estate Planning, Trust Administration, and Probate.

Nathan W. Eckley
Nathan is a 2003 graduate of The John Marshall Law School - Chicago; admitted to the State Bar of Illinois in 2003 and the State Bar of Wisconsin in 2006.
